Your humble correspondent could use a break.
I no sooner get done blogging on the (non) likelihood of a pre-election rate hike, when the universe begins to shriek: ‘September Rate Hike!’
The Dow tumbles 300 points, Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren intones ‘a reasonable case can be made…’ and internet rabble rouser Zero Hedge blasts ‘September rate hike odds soaring!’
Sheesh.
You’d wonder why.
I mean the economy is suddenly galloping so violently, that ‘reverse all engines’ is indicated?
Really?
Or maybe, they (the Fed) know something…
Whatever the case-
An increasingly tough world in which to seem sage.
